High School and
KIS high school counselors are student advocates who work in partnership with students, administration, staff, and parents, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment central to the success of the school's mission. Our comprehensive counseling program focuses on academic planning, social-emotional well-being, interest and career exploration, and college planning and transition. We help each student realize their potential and support student growth through the development of the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to become effective students, responsible global citizens, productive workers, and lifelong learners. Counselors connect with students and families through class lessons, individual meetings, parent sessions, and college workshops.
Each high school counselor holds an advanced degree in counseling and, as a team, brings decades of counseling and college admissions experience. Our comprehensive counseling program aligns with the best practices of the International School Counseling Association, the National Association for College Admissions Counseling, and the Council of International Schools. To support matriculation, the team maintains strong relationships with college admissions counselors.
