Unity Day Encourages Kindness, Acceptance, and Inclusion

Unity Day Encourages Kindness, Acceptance, and Inclusion

This story is part of a series exploring how KIS practices global citizenship.

Around the world schools celebrate Unity Day as a commitment to kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

This fall Pangyo campus elementary school Phoenix Ambassadors brought Unity Day to KIS. The high school student council and middle school advisory development
team was inspired to join too! Soon students and teachers coordinated schoolwide activities that championed a positive school culture.

In the video story below, school psychologist Emily Evans, elementary school counselor Iana Sigitova, and elementary school Phoenix Ambassadors tell about our Unity Day celebration and what you can do to create a culture of belonging at KIS.

Unity Day is one day but the message is for every day. Global citizenship is about connecting and supporting the community you are part of here, now.
