Celebrating NaNoWriMo!
High school English teacher Phoebe Charrier celebrates this school year’s K-12 NaNoWriMo challenge.
Last semester, KIS held our very first National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) challenge. K-12 students were invited to write for 30 days with the goal of creating their very own novel length story! This annual event encourages students to silence their "inner editor" and rediscover (or discover for the first time) the joy and challenge of storytelling. Almost 50 students signed up from all three divisions! Here are some excerpts from the stories they told. Well done to our aspiring authors!
