Curriculum units at KIS are designed on-line using a Web-based tool called Atlas Curriculum Mapping. For information on the Atlas process go to: http://www.rubiconatlas.com.
KIS curriculum units contain the following elements:

Essential Questions: What are the enduring lessons that you want your students to remember
  over time?

Knowledge and Skills: What do you want your students to know and be able to do at the end of
  the unit?

Assessment: What strategies will you use to determine if students have learned what you
  wanted them to learn?

Instruction: What strategies will you use to help students acquire the knowledge and skills?

Resources: What print and non-print materials will you use to help students acquire
  the knowledge and skills?
