It gives me great pleasure to \yelcome you to Korea International School, where we embrace the school's mission: "To inspire students with a passion for learning, and to cultivate the competence, self-assurance, initiative, and creativity necessary for success in the global community." Our goal is to educate the whole child in order to meet immediate needs and to prepare each one for a bright future. As the High School Principal, I am very proud of what KIS has accomplished over the years and of what we have to offer our families. Our teaching faculty is dedicated, enthusiastic, and extremely well prepared to assist our students in realizing their full potential. Our students are academically focused and demonstrate a high rate of success in all areas of curriculum. Each graduate of KIS is prepared to attend and excel at major colleges and universities around the WorId.

Our High School serves students in grades 9-12, featuring a United States-based curriculum that requires twenty-two credits for graduation. These credits include: four years of English and Math, three courses in Science and Social Studies, and two years of Physical Education. Students may choose from a variety of elective courses in each of these disciplines, plus Music, Art, Theater, Technology, and sevente~en different Advanced Placement courses. Our weekly schedule features three days of club block activities and our High School Advisory Program.

KIS offers a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Varsity sports teams are fielded in cross-country, tennis, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, swimming, and soccer. A large number of students participate in Model United Nations, Habitat for Humanity, and SpeechlDebate. Students have opportunities to develop leadership skills through Student Council, National Honor Society, Key Club, and other outstanding organizations. We encourage our students to be active members of our school community.
