Our friend Jackson Kaguri will be on campus during the week of May 22. As always, KIS is hosting his visit. We will all benefit from his talks and time he will spend with our students.
There are many great activities happening during his visit which many of our students will be involved in. The Friends Of Nyaka Club will be hosting a benefit dinner on May 27th beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Conference Hall. We will have student entertainment from 5:30 to 6:45 and at 7:00 p.m. we will sit down for a BBQ dinner. Jackson will keynote and we will have a silent auction with some amazing items for bid. This is a prime time to purchase some super nice items at ridiculously low prices. Come and check it out. Tickets will only be available in advance and must be purchased before May 25, 2017.
I hope many of you can attend and be part of this amazing fundraising tradition here at KIS. In years past we have donated substantially to The Aids Orphan Project annually. Jackson has used our donations to build schools, community centers, medical clinics, install solar power, and support the work of over 7000 grandmothers who house the children who are orphaned by the aids epidemic in Uganda. Our donations are used to provide high quality education, medical support and housing for students who would not have the opportunity that many of us take for granted.
Please come and be part of this fun filled night.
