Meet with us!
We welcome you to the Counseling Corner! Our role is to serve your student by enhancing their opportunity for academic success, developing social maturity and providing the tools to research, plan, and prepare for higher education.
KIS Counselors can help you by:
- Listening to your thoughts and feelings in a confidential setting.
- Deciding which classes you want and need to take.
- Helping you cope with difficulties with teachers, parents and friends.
- Empowering you with the tools you need to explore, prepare and plan for your future.
We look forward to visiting with you soon!
KIS’s College Counseling Office encourages college and university admission representatives to visit with the College Counselors, students and families at the Korea International School. KIS has welcomed hundreds of Colleges who come as individuals or in small groups.
As you begin making your travel arrangements, please start by looking at our online school calendar. On a regular school, we are able to accommodate representatives during club block and lunch periods between 11:00 AM until 11:45AM. Once you’ve decided on a date and time, please contact Jennifer Dorn at email@example.com.
If you would like to ship packages of information for your visit, please contact the College Counselor’s Assistant who will handle all materials shipped. She can also be contacted regarding courier details and arrival of your shipment.
You can download our latest school profile if you’d like more information about our school, students, academic information, and college matriculation data.
Arriving in Korea
Most international flights arrive at Incheon International Airport. However, some international flights from Asia arrive at Gimpo Airport. Both airports are located about one hour from many locations north of the river where most people stay. There are airport limousines to all destinations from Incheon Airport and from Gimpo Airport, which are much better and quicker than subways.
It’s easier to visit schools north of river on same day and schools south of the river on the same day as you can easily get from one school to another in about 30-40 minutes. Although the Seoul subway system is very efficient and inexpensive, so are taxis for short trips. Taxis are generally plentiful. However, for longer distances the subway and taxis can take a long time depending on how many times you have to change subway lines and/or highway traffic.
