It is my pleasure to welcome you and your family to Korea International School.
Since its founding in 2000, Korea International School has always aimed to provide the very best education – dedicated and passionate teachers, extensive extracurricular opportunities and character education through our advisory and experiential education programs. All of these, together with our international student body representing not only Korea, but several Asian, European and North American nations creates a rich and well-rounded high school program.
At KIS, we want all of our students to achieve at the highest levels. Whether it is through academics, athletics, the arts or service, success is a shared endeavor where we strive to help every student find their passion and support their growth.
In our high school we believe that every student has their own unique path to success. Whether it is through challenging classes, where teachers work together to provide consistent, rigorous and relevant curriculum, student led clubs, varsity sports, our internationally recognized music program, extensive drama offerings, service learning internships or any number of other initiatives offered at the high school, there are so many opportunities for our students to excel. It is also important for our graduates and alumni to be able to take what they learn at KIS and transfer it to other contexts outside of the classroom. We believe that the application of learning is one of the most important skills for success in today’s world. College and career readiness is a priority – we want KIS graduates to excel at whatever path they choose to follow.
In order for all of our students to achieve their goals, great collaboration between students, faculty and parents is a priority. As a school, we believe that open, transparent communication is vital so that we can all be partners in student success. I invite you to reach out to school
administration and faculty at any time and I welcome your contributions to our thriving high school community.
Looking forward to Learning Together,
High School Principal
