We are busy preparing for another great school year here at Gaepo! Our new specialist teachers have arrived and are settling in well to their new Korean surroundings and our returning faculty will soon be busy preparing classes for your children's arrivals.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS with a couple of important dates outlined below and please be sure to review several changes to parking for the first two weeks of school.
New Student Orientation is scheduled for the Gaepo Campus on August 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing all of our new families in the Multipurpose Room (MPR) on level 5 for introductions and general school start up information. If you are a returning student and would like to meet your teacher, you are welcome to come in between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. on August 10, 2010 as well

First day of school for all students is August 11th. Classes begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at 2:15 for our JK students and 3:15 for kindergarten, grade one and grade two.
Associate Principals (AP) Coffee continues! For your convenience Patrick Rich will be available to visit with parents on Monday, August 16. Parents are welcome to come and chat with the new AP during one of two times, 8:40 a.m. after school begins and again at 2:30 p.m. just prior to the second dismissal time. Please come in and say hello and learn about our new offerings for 2010/2011.
Seoul is hosting the World Racquetball Championships and they are taking place in the larger field between the parking lot nearest the guardhouse and the KIS building. Championship activities begin on August 11 and will be complete by the 21st. Due to the large event there may be some inconveniences caused by increased traffic during the first two weeks of school. The good news is that morning routines should not be affected as championship activities start well after we have begun our school day. Parents will be able to park near the guardhouse and/or in the Technology High Schools parking lot. If you wish to park in the high school parking lot you will need an identification badge which we will be mailed directly to you soon. We ask that you walk your children to the main entrance of Gaepo and pass them to a school faculty member prior to your departure. We will then direct them to a play area or their classes. Again, this inconvenience should be in the afternoon only and we will be back to normal for drop off and pick up procedures Monday, August 23, 2010.
Should you have further questions please do not hesitate to call us at 02 561 0509. We are sorry for any problems this may have caused you:) |
